Faking a urine drug test?

Can he make his urine drug test
negative by taking something?
I found the little plastic baggie and then husband flushed the
toilet before I could get a urine sample this morning and
accused me of being crazy; well anyways, after his psychotic
reaction to my attempts, he said "Fine, I'll take a test for you
tonight." Obviously the test would have been positive for meth
this morning; so how does he think he can take a test tonight
and it be clean? He knows I will stand there and watch him
actually pee in the cup because one time he had someone pee in
something for him for the drug test at the hospital lab and I
found out. Is there something he can take today that will make
him show clean results if he would have shown positive just this
morning? That's not enough time if he takes some sort of pills
or something is it? |

Yes. There's stuff he can get at
novelty shops that are supposed to help someone cheat a drug
test. |

There are a variety of ways to
fool a home pee test. It's Spy vs Spy, although tests such as
sweat patches are next to impossible to fool, same with a hair
follicle test.
Why test? he's likely going to deny it regardless of the proof
you provide. Test or not..The writting is ON THE WALL. |

I am sure that there are things
that he could take so, the test comes up clean. I know, for pot
there is. Someone also,told me something about putting a few
grains of salt in the urine and it will throw off the test. I'm
not sure, if that is true or not. I also, think that you can
drink, lots and lots of water to dilute certain drugs too.
Anyhow, forget the test tonight, since it is "scheduled", throw
one on him when he least expects it. I bet ya a million dollars
he will find a reason to "back out" of a random test... |

My husband did almost the exact same thing
once. I asked him to take a test for pot because he *swore* that
he had quit.
(This was our pre-meth battle-- he still smokes pot like a crazy
man.)
Anyway, he left to get Chinese food & it took him a long time to
return.
Since then, he admitted to getting some clean pee from a friend
to fool me. I guess he's always been a liar when it comes to
drugs.

There are products designed to help pass a
drug test & most of them claim to work within an hour or so.
Sick, isn't it?
I totally agree with JUSTCATS.
If you are going to test (which I don't necessarily recommend
since you already know the truth) I would shrug off the test for
tonight. Just tell him that you appreciate his cooperation, but
you've changed your mind.
I'd be willing to bet that he'll be irritated with your change
of heart... planning to pass that test took a fair amount of
scamming on his part!
Then- if you still feel like you need the proof, wait until the
next time you're suspicious. Tell him that you need him to test
right then because you're aware that there are ways to cheat the
test if there's advance warning.
I agree with danimal: The writing is on the wall.
I'm sorry you're going through this & I hope it gets easier on

There is probably a reason why
the police in some areas consider refusal to take a test as a
dirty test. Maybe they are actually on to something there.
My husband will sometimes recite "the rules", his set of rules
for life....kind of his tongue in cheek set of stuff he believes
in. #2, I think it was, is "never trust a drug addict"......
Or the old joke, "How do you know when a drug addict is lying?"
"Their lips are moving."
I know it's not funny, really, I do. But sometimes we have to
find ways of saying it in a funny way in order not to let it
make us nuts. We've both been active addicts. We've both been
the liars, and the ones lied to.
If your addict was capable of being honest, he probably would.
He is not in control. The meth is in control. When I was in
treatment, and other times, and I had to do Step 1 work,
admitting I was powerless over drugs, I had to make these huge
and horrible lists of all the things I'd done when I was using.
That list was not a list of things I'd choose to do. It was the
drugs. Now, I know that I'm still responsible for the fallout,
the consequences, of my behavior. But an addict isn't the same
person, following the same values, before or after active use as
they are during active use, at least hopefully not. |

Oh he doesn't think he will pass, he is just trying sound
confident like he isn't guilty. He is hoping to convince you so
then maybe you won't test him. |
