What is the effect of mixing meth and diabetic drugs?

Brn7more What is the effect of mixing meth and diabetic drugs?
What would be the effect of shooting and/or snorting meth along with intravenous diabetic drugs along with daily psychiatric medication?? I'm thinking it can't be good no matter how much of either you take. Any thoughts would greatly be appreciated.

Strange someone would take drugs to save their life (diabetes and psych ) and then one to kill themselves (meth)
Not good !
A diabetic person has to monitor blood sugar, eat according to activity/glucose levels....maintain hydration, are at risk of developing dangerous infections.....makes no sense. Diabetics are at risk to begin with and IMO a time bomb on meth ! Meth makes us not eat, not rest and become dangerously dehydrated while altering our body chemistry.

Might as well put a bullet in the chamber and play the game.

Since meth affects your appetite, and so much of diabetic treatment involves diet AND insulin / medications, I would say this person is engaged in some very risky behavior.

Not eating and then using insulin and / or oral hypoglycemics is a very bad idea.

My brother in law tried that scenario,, insulin, crank, and other medications that controlled the effects of the diabetes,, he wound up in 3 comma's,, each one almost taking his like, one lasting a week, 2 lasting about 3 weeks, he really accelerated his diabetes,, he is 44, very brittle, close to loosing his legs, completely disabled, he doesn't use meth any more, but it was very obvious that the meth use and resulting lack of care for himself,, speeded things up a lot for him,,, he's like a 90 year old man in a lot of ways now.

drug interaction checker

pick your drugs from the list, and this will check the interaction.

Thank You for all the replies....maybe she is just lying about HAVING to use diabetic drugs then. Although this lady acts crazy. She may just use the diabetic thing as an excuse to possess hypodermic needles...her husband is a heroin addict also. She went on the witness stand in court saying my brother was trying to kill her...He says she is lying and I think that is the case, she IS acting crazy. You could really tell something was wrong with her as she was testifying...she kept contradicting herself and then said she was JUST nervous. I know she takes drugs but I guess it isn't important to the DA what she is on. They certified him to answer to charges in Superior court because of what SHE said.

I had the misfortune of watching a close friend fight a very messy, and quite disgusting battle with alcoholism and diabetes.

I am amazed that she is still alive, to be honest. 2 comas, dozens of times having to be carried out of the bar completely sick and rushed home to get food and meds. I feel bad because I of course defended her "right to drink" and would be the one sneaking around with her. Then we ended up living in a studio together and it was a real wake up call.

I cannot IMAGINE meth and diabetes.

I also used meth while taking Effexor (to deal with my "depression", it wasn't prescribed to me). I would try to stop using meth, I would take the Effexor, forget that I wasn't supposed to use, end up using, it would put my brain really out of whack, I felt like I was on acid, then I would stop using the Effexor cold turkey.

Sigh.
