Gay men using meth for female sex...
I have been told that men use meth to have sex with women (be able to become erect) when they are actually gay. That they use it to stay closeted in denial. True?
I have come to this board many times for the truth. You all have been wonderful to me. Honest. I am in AA finally. At 51 days 2day. It is an amazing program. Thank you all for helping me get to that. Nothing is worse than be a dry drunk-cokehead. My program is helping me a moment at a time. My ex boy doesn't have my road though...he still smokes coke, meth, and thinks he can control it. Even he knows that is a lie. His road is his own. But when I was told this info, I became concerned. I have had unprotected sex with him and if his sexuality might be an issue...well, what do you all know about this?

i am in the same boat.
though my ex boyfriend is not gay i think he is bi and we had unprotected sex and i am scared of getting an HIV test.
he told me once that he did it with two men.
i thought it was an experiment. fine. then when we lived together he was searching sites for sex with male doms.
i know he did men too. i know it. he admitted it and where there is smoke there is fire. meth removes inhibitions so sex is wide open.
i feel for you cause i know exactly what you mean.

Meth does lower inhibitions, and I could see if you were gay how it'd be HUGE HUGE HUGE draw. Glad im not gay, that'd be one more thing i couldnt handle
. Gay meth addicts contracting HIV is a HUGE problem. For the love of @#%$ god, why havent you got yourself tested....for your own piece of mind and so you dont end up killing others...getting tested wont change the fact. You'll just be aware....SO DO IT!!!!

HIV, herpes, hepatitis , etc does not distinguish between men and women.
Your chances of having any or all are just as great had he been straight as they are had he been gay.
Unprotected sex is never a good idea - period- unless you are in a monogamous relationship where both parties have a clean bill of health.
Get checked and be smart. You are responsible for your health.
HIV is not just a "gay" diseases- women carry it too.

I have in fact been tested for all sexual diseases, aids being my largest concern. When I was 1st with him we were monagomous, well, that's what I believed. I was.
I have been HIV tested 3x's in the past year and a half. I have slipped and had non-protected sex with him between those times. STUPIDLY. I know. I am concerned that I can come up negative now...positive later?!
I guess I really want to know if there are men out there who had relations with other men while on meth?
Have you told the women in your life about it?
THANKS for being so frank with me girlie. May you never have to suffer the ramafications of your man's bi-conquests. It hurts to love/trust someone who can really mess up our lives in a permanant way.

My docotor told me to repeat the HIV test after 6 months from the date of my first test since it can take that long to show up.

I have been told that it is extremely difficult for a woman to contract (what a stupid word...sounds like ya want it) Hepatitis C or B from a man during intercourse(any kind). Contrary to common fear, hep C is most often contracted through needle sharing, blood transfusions and other blood sharing(vampires). That's a plus....for us all who haven't shared any blood through open wounds.....
I felt much safer with the meth addict bf when he seemed healthier in the mind and less psychotic because he adamantly swore he never used needles or other women, but became increasingly more worried as his addiction and mental downfall skyrocketed. I do wonder if he began slamming....many meth addicts eventually do.
I'm so sorry you are in the fear. Keep up your testing but know that you are more than likely perfectly healthy. Fear can make a person very sick.
By the way, I was told that there is a HUGE increase in gonorhea....that's spread by all but definitely more in the drug addicted lifestyle.

I think the chance is .005% of getting hep c from sex

i did get tested for gon. and the chlamidia sp? negative.
all i know is that he refused to be STD tested, there were condoms in his belongings and we did not use them, he lied, was gone all night, and, and, and ...
if he lied about meth he lied about sex and meth addicts have few morals anyway.
might as well bang the world.
sorry to be down on addicts but my experience was so destructive to me.
and i still love him. how horrible. but it is best to be tested just in case! i will do it when i get better. you do it too 'cause i'll be there in spirit.
i had an HIV test some years ago and it was negative. but after him now i have to be scared again. he sucks.
i am still devastated. sorry.

Can't HIV show up even years later? I seem to be gonereah, syphilis, and as you all were saying Hep free if all that is tested by blood. I was told I might have hep b because I used to snort coke with communial straws/bills. It supposidly can be contracted from others in the nasal cavity. I have not been tested for it to my knowledge, unless docs automatically do so. I actually forgot all this until talking to you guys.
I agree.
Getting tested is the safest way to be. I've never been premiscuous and I know better. Hind sight is 20/20. forward.
