Found light bulbs, is there a drug connection?

worried	Found light bulbs Hey I found some light bulbs in my sister's bag that were tied together with several strings and were accompanied by a zippo lighter and a long metal spring? The light bulbs were very small and empty I believe. Any ideas. I accused her of doing drugs and she violently denies it. She comes to my parents house every now and then and will sleep non stop (usually 3 days) and eats constantly. I just need to know how small those light bulbs can be and what anyone thinks? I know that she has bragged about staying up for days before and she also brags about knowing where meth houses are, she has severe acne (but no sores like I have seen on other sites). She also passed a drug test after I accused her of drugs given by my parents 2 days later. Any help would be appreciated. I need to learn as much as I can to help her, if I even can. Thanks in advance for your time... a worried sick sister

Guene	Re: Found light bulbs Hi Worried, Yes you should be worried; it sounds like drugs, I'm sorry you had to find those things and even more sorry that you and your family will have go through so much pain because of her addiction. UCLAngel	Re: Found light bulbs OH my. Well, yes, the light bulbs and the lighter would sort of be proof-positive. As if all the other signs and symptoms you mentioned weren't. Now, I have no idea what the spring is for, but, I do know tweakers sometimes just collect weird shyt. I know I did. Anyway, OK, so you confronted her and she denied it. (Whoever heard of an addict vehemently denying meth use, right?) It sounds like she isn't ready to face her addiction. My advice?.......(OK, so, nobody asked me, but that's never stopped me before, LOL) I would say,...accept that right now talking to her at all about her drug use will be like talking to a brick wall. Then get yourself to an Alanon or Naranon meeting, and also continue educate yourself about meth addiction. There is nothing you can do for her right now, except to take care of YOU, and to establish your boundaries with her. Alanon or Naranon will help you with that. So will being on this board.....welcome!

I am going to talk to her about it when she is ready and I guess I don't have a choice with a 2 year old but to distance myself from her and her friends now. I didn't see much of her anyway but we talked when I could track her down or I bugged her enough to call me back! She was confronted by my parents when she was here and she left mad and no one has heard from her since. She hadn't taken a part the bulbs yet and left them on the garage floor I guess to make us all question WHY she would do that??? I don't know. Are there any other drugs that use light bulbs. She has been "into" cocaine before....could she be hiding that in the base of the bulb before screwing it in to the rest of it??? IN any case the light bulbs alone signify to me some type of drug. They still had the filament in there and maybe she wanted us to think we were over reacting. I don't know what to do. I almost want to turn a blind eye so I can talk to her but she knows I know something now. I am very confused. I will get help though. I am learning more everyday. Thank you all so much! For what I have read about Meth in the past few days I give all of those who use to be addicted severe praise for getting off of it you have made an accomplishment worth rewarding, it sounds like a battle I myself wouldn't be able to win. For those of you that Have been struggling in my "new" situation I give you many hugs!

In some cases it's easy to get meth out of your system within 24 hours. Also home test aren't real accurate. If you do use a home test try to collect the first urine of the day. It's more potent that way.
