Can an addict have a relationship and not be
sexual?
Is it possible that a drug
addict, who says he is not physically in love with his
girlfriends isn't sleeping with her? She was a virgin for the
first two years of their relationship, don't know now (it's been
4), but recently they moved in together because she bought a
house. He is barely a month clean.
I think he is using her as a cover up in front of his parents so
they don't think something is wrong with him. He is also madly
attracted to another girl but doesn't feel worthy right now. |

I'm not sure what your
question is. Can you clarify a little? |

Can a drug addict have a
4 year relationship with girl, that he said he is not physically
in love with, and not be sexually active? She was a virgin for
the first two years of it, but now they moved in together
because her parents bought a house.
He is madly attracted to another woman that he can't have
because of his problems etc. but needs a cover up in front of
the parents since they don't know of addiction. |

Anything is possible. A better
question -- why is this important to you?
Are you looking for a way to prove that he is an addict? A liar?
Whatever it is he's doing is his issue, right?
Are you either one of the women in his love/lust triangle? |

Re: Can an addict
have a relationship and not be sexual?
I have been in a
relationship for 5 years and the sex stopped after 6 months. He
likes to say that he wants sex and that it's all my fault that
we don't have it but in the end... sex just doesn't happen.
I'm too resentful of his addiction and behaviors to even think
about it being intimate. He is either high and running around in
circles (collecting junk, "fixing things" for hours, etc..) and
comes to bed way to late for me to even notice. When he's coming
off of the drugs he has a psychotic episode for a few days and
then sleeps until then next binge. No time for sex there.
I believe that he is using me for a cover up to the world... I
make him look normal. I stick with it because I'm afraid to
leave someone who frequently has psychotic breaks. |
