Where relapse takes you
i had a friend relapse on Tuesday night..
he had just over 1 year clean, I guess he thought he was cured...
he made a decision to use on Tuesday night and now he is dead
that's where relapse takes you...

if you think, oh just one more wont hurt, guess what, no one among us has a written guarantee that we will make it back...the next time you use may very well be your last...using isn't a game, relapse isn't a requirement, its a choice...think hard about the choices you make, we have no real control over the outcome...

load a bullet in a six shooter and start spinning. Russian roulette anyone...
f*#king addiction...
by the grace of god I'm here...better him then i

Re: Where relapse takes you
I'm so sorry for your friend. We all know what the end result is if you don't stop using meth.
Take your friends story and gain strength for yourself and to help others.
You may have read my posts before. I lost my 22 year old son Austin this past August. Austin battled drug addiction for 10 years, the last 6 being meth. He couldn't break the grip of meth. He pulled the trigger to take his own life when he was apprehended in a carjacking. I think he was trying to overdose. They found a pulled back syringe on him and his blood level of meth from his toxicology report was a 10.81. People can OD with a .05 level in their blood. He was so tired of the devil's grip. I miss him so, but I know everything he did wasn't his fault, it was the damn meth. I hate meth! I will continue to grow strong and share Austin's story in hopes of helping others. Meth kills. If you haven't visited Austin's website yet, please do. Read his story and share and help it to give you strength and remember your friend and share the story to help others.

No, using isn't a game, relapse isn't a game.
I am so very sorry for your loss, Shane.

I have no doubt I have another high left on my punch ticket of life, but I'm not going to gamble today, hoping I have another 'get clean'.

A very sad and somber reminder of what the end result to using again is.

The cold hard truth of addiction.
One more time can kill you. It surely can.

So sorry for the loss of your friend.
Even as I am writing this, my daughter's friend is in the hospital as the result of relapse. She is hooked up to a ventilator, unconscious, and may not recover.

Prayers to all those whose lives have been touched by this drug.

Buh.
I had a friend do the exact same thing a couple of years ago.
It scared the @#%$ out of me. But you know what? I am glad I had to see that, because it scared me so bad. Nothing is a guarantee.

Hope you are doing okay.

Thanks for the reminder  I will never EVER be cured, the only cure is to say: "NO." Just 4 today!!!

P.S I am sorry about your friend!!!

Guene Re: Where relapse takes you
Oh sweetie I'm so sorry, I hope that he finds peace now and I will pray for his family and friends too. I know it must be so hard, but sometimes bad things happen and they hurt so bad, but they will pass in time.
